NATIONAL COURSES

The National Education Programme is designed to help build and strengthen union organisations through innovative and creative responses to the challenges facing the labour movement.

NATIONAL SCHOOL

A national school focusing on the Global Economic Crisis and its impact on the working class and working poor in South Africa will be held. The objectives of the school are:

  1. To review and assess the impact of the existing strategies to counter the economic crisis.
  2. To develop new strategies against the negative effect of the crisis.

The school will be approached as follows:

  • A Panel discussion on Day 1
  • Group discussion around sub themes on Day 2
  • Plenary presentations on Day 3
  • Strategising for the way forward on Day 4

Target Group: Young workers, union youth desk coordinators and women.

DITSELA ADVANCED NATIONAL LABOUR EDUCATION PROGRAMME (DANLEP)

Three advanced courses, Educator Development;Labour Law;Women Leadership Development,  will be offered in collaboration with traditional higher education institutes, University of Cape and University of the Witwatersrand.
