Aims
- Organise strategies to advance trade unionism
- Understand and advance the rights of workers
- Understand the relationship between the economy, political power and the formation of social classes
- Understand the history and impact of the trade union movement in South Africa and beyond
Delivery Framework
The course is offered as a national pilot with participants enrolling for a learnership in a trade union or simply for purposes of obtaining the qualification.
Participants
50 participants representing all four federations and community based organisations are currently enrolled on the pilot. They include shopstewards, organisers, educators and young people interested to learn more about trade unions.
